Firefly for Syrians

Safe space and education for refugees

Firefly International helps victims of the Syrian conflict become leaders of their own recovery. Early in 2016, Firefly increased our commitment to Syrian refugees, helping to design, fund and set up a youth centre in Antakya, Turkey.
We offer hope and support through providing a way back into education and a plug for the lost years of learning due to repeated displacement and conflict.

Firefly for Syrian’s work

Offering a programme in Antakya and outreach work into Northern Syria we reach around 1000 children each month.
Our Syrian team has developed unique meccano-like resources which they produce in our center in Antakya. These are used to teach practical science and maths activity in Syrian refugee centres in Turkey and in Northern Syria. In addition they run a primary school in a refugee camp in Northern Syria and offer an accelerated learning programme in Antakya,Turkey – plugging the gap in lost school years due to war and supporting children emotionally and educationally, helping them to build better futures.

Please see links to stories of children who have attended Firefly for Syrian’s centres in Syria and Turkey.
