How you can help Firefly during the Covid-19 crisis.

Our teams in Bosnia, Turkey, Syria and Gaza continue to work in these very difficult circumstances. Reports are coming through of cases of Covid-19 in Gaza and the Northern Syrian camps, where, if it takes hold it will be devastating. But our projects are small and adaptable and we are working hard to keep children healthy, safe and engaged in educational activity.

Updates from Syria, Gaza and Bosnia

In the Syrian camps we have been running workshops about hygiene - the importance of hand washing and awareness of Coronavirus alongside our daily curriculum. Syrian children have endured so much in their lives and are increasingly vulnerable in these unprecedented times. Our work is crucial supporting these communities through war, disease and the challenges that life throws, please support us in any way you can.

The counsellors we support in Gaza are now offering their life changing sessions to young clients suffering from PTSD by phone and online.

Our team in Bosnia have created a private online space which young people are visiting to share their feelings and worries during this difficult time. Creative and engaging activities for younger children have also moved on-line and are a lifeline bringing some normality for families in lockdown.
