Your support of the Firefly Gala is vital in helping Firefly International to continue working with children in regions of conflict and post conflict. With growing unrest and conflict in the Middle East, the need for your support in helping displaced and marginalised children is even greater. You can do so by joining us at the Firefly Gala Concert, or by donating here.
The 2016 Firefly Gala was a wonderful success, raising over £10,000, which went directly to support youth in conflict situations in the Balkans and Middle East. Let’s make this event even better!
What has Firefly achieved in the last year?
In the past year Firefly has been helping Syrian refugees in the Turkish city of Antakya to set up an education centre. The focus is on reintegrating children who have been forced to work, back into school.
Firefly has continued to help connect marginalised Palestinian youth from Nablus to the outside world through art and culture.
In Bosnia Firefly continues, after two decades, to bring together youth from diverse ethnic backgrounds through education and art activities, building bridges in a divided region.
Please do like, share and invite your friends to help make this year’s Gala a great success to raise more funds for some really great local partners’ programming for young people growing up in truly challenging conditions.
